It takes me a while to put into words the feelings an experience leaves behind. I’m not a spontaneous writer. I prefer to dig deep, to let my thoughts wander and settle, which is why I’m still trying to articulate the feelings of past Tahilla Gatherings.
It’s often after some time has passed that I think of them most. The way the light moved, the indelible sounds of the inner world within the meadow, the little moments I didn’t fully appreciate at the time.
And now, in these passing weeks of autumn, as the nights cool and the leaves whisper their final farewell before settling to the ground, those memories seem stronger somehow.
The words are coming. I can feel them finding their way.
And that’s half the fun of it.
