Tahilla Gatherings

  • WELCOME

You are warmly invited to step into Tahilla Gatherings.

These are thoughtfully shaped experiences, created to offer space to slow down, notice more deeply, and explore creativity in ways that feel natual and unhurried.

Some gatherings are rooted in the landscape—writing, walking, observing, and spending time in nature. Others unfold around the table, hands-on and communal, centered on making, conversation, and shared experience. All are designed to invite curiosity and attention, without expectation or performance.

Each season brings a small number of gatherings. These workshops and creative sessions are shaped by time, place, and intention. From quiet writing days and creative walks to table-centered making and shared meals, every gathering supports a deeper engagement with your own creative life.

If this way of coming together resonates with you, you are warmly invited to join the waitlist or subscribe for updates. You will be the first to hear when a new gathering opens.

  • THE ARTFUL TABLE

Step into a slower, more attentive way of gathering—where the table becomes a place of connection, making, and care.

The Artful Table is a series of intimate gatherings shaped around shared meals, seasonal beauty, and the quiet confidence that comes from creating together. Through food, flowers, and gentle acts of making, these gatherings invite you to experience entertaining not as performance, but as presence.

  • OPEN STUDIO

A seasonal, invitation-only gathering celebrating art, craft and garden.

Open Studio brings togetherr the makers, growers, and creative people whose work I enjoy and want to share.

Each gathering offers a chance to meet the person behind the work, to hear how it is made, what inspires it, and what it takes to keep showing up to a craft. Sometimes it may feel like a small gallery, sometimes like a garden visit, sometimes like a conversation gathered around a table.

These gatherings grow naturally from the rhythms of Tahilla and the creative community around it.

  • SKETCHING SILENCE

Step into a slower rhythm, where drawing becomes an act of quiet observation.

This workshop invites you to see with presence and let simple lines unfold—without pressure or perfection.

In stillness, movement becomes reflection, and sketching becomes a way of noticing the world, just as it is.

  • THE QUIET PEN

Slow down with the landscape and let words arrive gently.

Set within the quiet beauty of Tahilla Farm, this workshop offers a rhythm of reflection, guided prompts, and unhurried time to write—where nature becomes muse, and stillness gives shape to story, poetry, and personal expression.

Gathering at Tahilla Farm

Kind Words from Tahilla Visitors

  • —Nadie

First, thank you, Jeanne, for your warm hospitality. You were so generous to share your home with us both inside and out. I loved seeing your garden, discovering new plants, gathering in the red barn, learning about flat lays and portrait photography, walking through the meadow, and sharing thoughts at the end of the day. Everything felt like 'framing the unspoken.' You treated us as special guests, and the deliciously fresh farm-to-table picnic meticulously prepared by Carolyn was amazing!

  • —Christine

I can’t thank you enough for creating such a wonderful creative space to gather. I left inspired and with new friends. Tahilla Farm is a special place that fosters deep connection. I can’t wait for the next!

  • —Sharon

I think we all loved every second spent at Tahilla. Your warm hospitality, welcoming home and laid-back style made everyone feel at home.

  • —Marty

Jeanne, your home, the quintessential New England backdrop, your hospitality, and the amazing women in attendance all added up to a memorable and inspirational weekend. Thank you.

  • —Rebecca

I cannot describe how poignant this past weekend was on so many levels. Jeanne, your gracious leadership, hospitality, attention to detail was profound. The setting with Tahilla Gatherings is special. As a participant and guest, I felt both comfortable, welcome and pampered. The food was delicious, and lovingly selected, and the “Farm” was a delight to all the six senses (I’m including spirit). You successfully created an environment for deep thought, relaxation, and for change to take place in each participant. Well done!

  • —Kristen

Your workshop yesterday was serendipitous and motivating. You and Sharon are uniquely talented, not only in your personal creative pursuits but also in your ability to create an atmosphere of support and sharing. And, what a wonderful group of adventurous, talented, open-minded women. I wish you all the best and will think of you all today foraging, creating, collaborating, and undoubtedly, laughing.

  • —Betsy

I immediately sensed that I’d arrived somewhere special…beholding that gorgeous mountain, the field, the studio barn, the stone walls, your home. Thank you so much for opening your home and for being a gracious and generous host.

  • —Sorrell

Your home and property are absolutely beautiful—they bring such a sense of peace, something we all need so deeply right now. Being there felt like a breath of fresh air.

It was such a joy to meet new people, spark new friendships, and feel surrounded by so much creativity and warmth. The art, the styling, the talent—everyone brought something special to the table. And speaking of tables... the meal was fantastic. Every detail felt so thoughtful and full of heart.

The photo retreat was truly beautiful,  an experience that exceeded every expectation.

The connections I made were incredibly enriching, and the entire atmosphere was just as I had imagined: filled with light, meaningful stories, and an abundance of beauty.

A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful participants; to our amazing teachers who generously shared their tips and secrets for capturing beautiful photos and mastering flat lay compositions.
