Tahilla Gatherings: The Artful Table
Join Kate Preftakes and Jeanne Henriques for a photography workshop
The Grace of Gathering at Tahilla Farm
Intimate, seaonal, and unhurried —
There is a particular pleasure in arriving home with flowers in your arms, a market basket filled with delicious food, the table still to set, and the whole afternoon ahead.
The Artful Table is a day shaped around the quiet pleasures of summer hospitality — flowers cut from the garden, a table laid with care, food brought to the table on generous platters, and the particular satisfaction of welcoming people well. It is the kind of day I have long wanted to offer at Tahilla Farm.
Who This Day Is For
Whether you love to entertain and want fresh inspiration, or find hosting more daunting than delightful, The Artful Table is about slowing down, gathering ideas, and leaving with the confidence to welcome people beautifully. Practical wisdom will be woven throughout the day — not as a checklist, but as a way of seeing. You don't need any experience. Just bring your appetite for a lovely day.
What to Expect
Beatrice Sannino will open the day with a table styling demonstration, exploring the visual language of the al fresco table — how flowers, herbs, market produce, linens, and a few well-chosen pieces can create a feeling of abundance and welcome. She will show how easily a beautiful summer table can come to life from what is already around you.
Amy Meyers will speak to the grace of hosting — those small, unhurried gestures that make guests feel genuinely at ease from the moment they arrive. Her conversation is warm, practical, and full of ideas you will find yourself reaching for all summer.
Carolyn Hough will shape the lunch, offering a way of cooking and serving that feels as generous and unforced as the day around it — seasonal, beautiful, and entirely without fuss.
In the garden, we will close the afternoon by cutting flowers from Tahilla Farm and creating a small arrangement to take home — a quiet, hands-on ending to a day spent in the company of beautiful things.
Every guest will leave with Tahilla Grace Notes — a small keepsake booklet of tips, recipes, and inspiration to return to all summer long — and one more surprise, handmade locally, waiting for you at the door.

Meet the Collaborators
Bea Sannino is a Cambridge-based designer and the founder of Beatrice Sannino Collective, a tabletop line sourced and crafted in her native Italy. She brings to every table a deeply Italian belief that beauty belongs in daily life — layered, seasonal, and always rooted in what the garden already offers.
Amy Meyers is a certified etiquette trainer and the founder of Mrs. Meyers Etiquette, based in New Hampshire. Trained with distinction through The English Manner and Beaumont Etiquette, she helps people navigate social and professional life with confidence — and believes that good manners are, at their heart, simply a form of kindness.
Carolyn Hough is the chef and co-Innkeeper of Cranberry Meadow Farm Inn in Peterborough. A Culinary Institute of America-trained chef with international experience in restaurant kitchens, she oversees both the kitchen and the kitchen garden at the Inn, bringing to the table a philosophy of cooking that is seasonal, generous, and entirely fuss-free.
Jeanne Henriques is a writer and the creator of Tahilla Gatherings, held at Tahilla Farm — a restored 1790 farmhouse on 35 acres in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Years of living abroad across four continents, raising four children, and making a home again and again inform her deep feeling for what makes a gathering welcoming.
There are just 8 places for this gathering, held with care and intention. If this day speaks to you, I would love to welcome you to Tahilla Farm.
