Rising Star At 69

Today, a little giggle and a lot of gratitude for receiving the Rising Star Award from the Monadnock Garden Club. We are a small but mighty club, just shy of 50 members. We work hard, enjoy the camaraderie, and take pleasure in getting to know women from across our region.

I have a habit of jumping into things with arms wide open and ideas spilling forth. It’s something I picked up during our expat years. That feeling of I’m here, but not for long, so let me make the most of it. Sometimes I forget I’m no longer on that traveling path. Old habits die hard, and perhaps this is one worth keeping.

So here I am, 69 years old and a Rising Star, at least in the eyes of the lovely women who bestowed the award upon me. Thank you! And from my little corner of the world at Tahilla Farm, I find myself asking the same question I always do…
